Flying With Your Gear? Here's What to Know
Not every bag in this lineup is built for the overhead bin — and that's by design. The Olympus™ and Poseidon are sized for maximum capacity, which means they're checked-bag or cargo-transport gear, not carry-ons. The Pike is the exception: at 22" × 14" × 9" unexpanded, it's our only deployment bag that meets standard TSA carry-on dimensions, making it the pick for shorter trips, frequent flights, or anyone who wants to walk straight to the gate without checking a bag.
Gear bags split the same way, but differently. The Summit Tactical Backpack (22" × 16" × 9") works as a carry-on — its soft-sided, compressible build lets it fit airline sizers even though it runs a couple inches over the strictest 22"×14"×9" standard. The Multipurpose Gear Bag doesn't have that flexibility: even unexpanded, its 25"×12"×12" main compartment already exceeds standard carry-on length, and it only grows from there (29"×12"×12" expanded) — plan on checking it or using it for ground transport instead.
